When do the pool & hot tub open?

Our pool and hot tub are open and available from April 15-October 31. The pool is heated and feels great even on cooler days!

Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate for furry friends on the property at this time — even the most well-behaved ones, as much as we would love to!

Is there assigned parking?

We have you covered! Each cottage comes with one reserved parking space in our lot. We also have several “overflow” parking spaces that are first-come-first-served available for our guests. Other than quick minor adjustments, any car repairs are not meant to be done while parked here.

Do you offer breakfast? What time is it at?

We offer a complimentary continental-style breakfast set up in the common space in the morning. Breakfast times and options vary seasonally, but feel free to reach out and ask about specifics. We offer the typical continental-style refreshments - coffee, cereals, yogurts, fruit, etc.

Are you walking distance to town? How far of a walk?

One of the best parts of OPC is our proximity to town! We are just a few short blocks from all that downtown Saugatuck has to offer. Town is just around the corner, a 5-15 minute walk, depending on where you want to go!

Can you fish off the docks?

Yes! Our docks are great for fishing, bird-watching, or catching the sunset and sunrise! Just please be mindful of docks reserved for local boaters. If there is a name on the sign post, it is reserved. Please only use docks not already reserved.

Can you jump off the docks and swim?

We highly recommend against jumping off our docks into the water. The water levels and clarity are constantly changing, therefore it can be dangerous. We also have no ladders for getting back out of the water. Please save your swimming for our pool or the beach!

Do the cottages have daily cleaning services?

A room refresh cleaning service is available by request only and will be billed in addition to your cottage fees. This detailed cleaning is $125/day and includes sanitization, fresh towels, snacks, and toiletries, etc.

Do you supply beach towels?

We do not supply beach towels, but we do provide pool towels for use at our pool. If you are looking for beach supplies, we recommend contacting Woosah Coffee in Douglas, or In the Elements Rentals in Saugatuck. Visit Saugatuck.com for more information.

How far is Oval Beach from OPC?

Oval Beach is just a short drive from us! We are located about 3.5 miles from Oval Beach, which is about a 5-10 minute drive. Stop in the office for one of our area maps if you’d like!

What is your cancellation policy?

Once you have put down a deposit, you must cancel before reaching 30 days prior to the check-in date or the deposit will not be refundable. If you cancel your reservation before reaching the 30 days prior to the check-in date, you will be refunded your deposit, minus a $50 service fee. If you must cancel within 24 hours of check-in, you will be responsible for the full amount.

How late can we check in?

Old Pike Cottages has a “contactless” check-in system. Our doors have keypads with codes specific to you during your stay. This means you are able to arrive any time after the 3pm check-in time, even if no staff is on site. If you suspect you may be arriving later in the evening, let us know and we will be sure to leave the porch light on! We also have a phone answering service for assistance if you have any issues checking in late at night.

Do you offer highchairs, cribs, etc?

We have a few toddler’s booster seats available on site for our guests. We also offer pack n plays that can be set up in your cottage prior to arrival, just let us know! If you would rather have a crib set up, or require additional small children’s equipment, we have a local business we work with that provides more of these items. Just ask!

Can we cook in the common space kitchen? What supplies are offered there?

While you are more than welcome to use the common space for any needs you may have, keep in mind there is no stove-top or oven in our kitchen. We do have two large fridges/freezers, microwave, air-fryer, toaster oven, and two out-door gas grills for cooking. Feel free to use any dishes, utensils, or appliances provided in the common space kitchen. If you were hoping for more of a fully-stocked kitchen, the Bugatti house at OPC has better accommodations for cooking, including an oven with stove-top.

Can we dock our boat here during our stay?

We can allow boat docking! However, we do require a minimum of a 6-night stay, your insurance information, and a signed lease. Boat docking is also dependent on water levels. Call for more information!

Can I rent the entire property?

Absolutely! We oftentimes host wedding groups, family reunions, or company retreats. Call us and we can work through the details!

How far out can I book?

We currently are able to book out about a year and a half in advance. If you are looking for something further out, call us and we will see what we can do!

How do I contact the staff when I am here?

There are a few easy ways to get into contact with the staff during your stay. Call our office phone number (269-857-9090), send us a text (269-220-6133), or simply stop by our office (located in the common space building) and say hi!

What are the pool & hot tub hours?

Our pool and hot tub typically open by 9am (weather permitting) and closes around dusk. We are unable to leave the pool open after dark as we have no pool lights and no overnight staff on site for safety.

Can I have a late checkout?

We are typically unable to grant late check-outs because we like to let every guest check-in early whenever possible, therefore it helps when guests check-out promptly. Checking out late may lead to additional fees.

Can I get more of the snacks and/or water bottles?

Our snacks and water bottles are complimentary! Feel free to stop in the common space /office and ask for more!

Do you have plungers available?

We have plungers available in the common space / office, stop by and ask!

Where can I get more toiletries?

We have more available in our common space / office. Stop by and ask!

Can friends come hang out?

Sure! We just ask that you keep it to under 4 additional guests without prior approval from staff. There is first-come-first-served overflow parking in our lot, we just ask that they don’t occupy any assigned number spaces.

Can I get extra blankets? Towels?

Of course! We keep extra blankets on site, just ask someone in the office. If you’d like your used towels exchanged, place them inside your provided ‘dirty laundry’ bag (on bedroom shelf or closet), and place your bag outside your front door. We will exchange them for clean linens.
